With the aim of increasing efficiency in the cultivation of aquatic species, the Production Management area of ACUINUGA Aquaculture division participates in the provision of knowledge and technology and in management consulting in Aquaculture.
The activities carried out in this Production Management Area are:
- The development of comprehensive projects for the cultivation of aquatic species, which include not only all technical and biological aspects, but also the economic, legal and commercial aspects that guarantee the project's viability.
- The design of facilities and processes for the production of aquatic species.
- Legal advice (animal health, food safety and animal production legislation) and financial advice (identification of funding sources, business opportunities and management of grants and subsidies).
- Guidance for the selection of technologies for the treatment of waste in effluents, environmental control management and water quality.
- Advice on the product's transformation processes (processing, filleting and preparation; smoking, packaging, pasteurisation, freezing, canning, etc.) and marketing (use of technologies to enhance organoleptic qualities such as colour, texture, flavour and aroma; presentation, packaging and labelling, etc.).
